Meet Morgann Markoe

Morgann has always had a passion for working with dogs. From a young age, her family ran a rescue out of their home in Florida. While they cared for a wide range of animals—cats, bunnies, rodents, reptiles, farm animals, and even an emu—dogs always held a special place in her heart. In addition to the rescue work, Morgann volunteered in veterinary clinics until she was old enough to begin her first official veterinary internship at age 14.Morgann spent several years working in veterinary medicine. In 2017, she left home to attend the University of Georgia. During her first semester, while working at a veterinary clinic, she met someone who bred and trained German Shepherds for bomb detection work. In her free time, Morgann began volunteering at this working dog kennel and developed a keen interest in training dogs at a high level. During her time there, she contributed to the training and certification of multiple dogs that went on to serve police, military, and private handlers. This experience ignited her passion for dog training, leading her to leave vet school and pursue it full-time.Morgann studied canine behavior, obedience, tracking and trailing, search and rescue, and detection dog programs through the Georgia K9 National Training Center. Upon graduating, she moved to Arizona to work full-time as a dog trainer. While in Arizona, she ventured into training protection dogs and collaborated with local Search and Rescue teams, all while continuing her volunteer work with animal rescues and shelters. In 2022, Morgann relocated to Washington, where she has continued to expand her expertise by attending various training schools and seminars across the country. With roughly 14 years of experience working with dogs, she has helped countless dogs and their human companions overcome a wide range of challenges. Morgann is committed to continuous growth and learning, ensuring that she provides the best possible experience for both dogs and their owners. She is willing to train dogs in any area; however, she typically meets clients in Yelm, WA, Olympia, or Parkland/Spanaway, WA, or anywhere in between. Due to her location—an hour south of Tacoma—she does not drive to Seattle for pickups or turnovers.
